Hello! My name is Sydney Dorion. I have been designing and making art for as long as I can remember, but I started to take it more seriously in 2025, and started my own business in 2026. Waypoint Creative is something I have worked long and hard to create, and I hope to surpass any expectations you may have! Whether you are starting a new business or wanting to elevate your current one, I am here to help!
Who I Am
Growing up in northern Minnesota, my life has mostly been spent outdoors, which has shaped both who I am and how I approach design. From long days on the lake to early mornings in the woods, the outdoors has instilled in me an appreciation for authenticity, craftsmanship, and the stories that connect people to a place, experience, or brand. I strive to bring that same appreciation into every project, creating designs that are original, memorable, and built with purpose. Whether I'm developing a brand identity, designing a website, or creating marketing materials, my goal is to help businesses communicate who they are in a way that feels genuine and leaves a lasting impression.
I work closely with my clients to understand their goals, business, audience, and everything in between. I believe great design should tell a story, build trust, and create meaningful connections. By taking the time to learn what makes each business unique, I'm able to create custom solutions that not only look professional but also reflect the values and personality behind the brand.
When I'm not working on a branding project, website, content, or marketing campaign, you can usually find me either on the water or in the woods. Fishing and hunting are my favorite pastimes, and I enjoy them year-round. I also have a passion for photography, especially capturing the landscapes, wildlife, and moments that make the outdoors so rewarding. These experiences continue to inspire my creativity and influence my work as a designer. I also love concerts, road trips, and anything that gives me an adrenaline rush!
Because of my background and interests, I naturally enjoy working with businesses in the outdoor recreation, tourism, and travel industries. I understand the importance of creating brands that feel authentic to the people they serve, and I take pride in helping businesses share their story through thoughtful, impactful design. Through Waypoint Creative, I hope to create meaningful visual experiences that help businesses stand out while staying true to who they are.
